In this Master's program project at USC, I had the opportunity to complete a usability study on an app we frequently interacted with - Google Maps. My UX research team conducted a usability study on the’ ‘Search Along Route’ feature to evaluate the user experience and identify areas for improvement. Our study revealed that users struggled with locating and using the feature efficiently, often finding it difficult to access and integrate into their navigation flow. Based on these findings, we recommended enhancing the feature’s visibility, simplifying the interface, and providing clearer instructions to improve accessibility and overall user-friendliness.
