We set out to explore how new users interacted with the app, but due to the personal and sensitive nature of therapy, a traditional usability study was not suitable. Instead, we conducted a week-long diary study, which provided valuable insights into the experiences and behaviors of new Sonia users. This method allowed us to uncover and address common usability issues while gaining a deeper understanding of the context in which users engaged with Sonia.
